Reconnect iCloud in Notability

Modified on Tue, 6 Sep, 2022 at 12:19 PM

What Has Happened:

The iCloud sync has disconnected in Notability and all the notes disappeared.

Occasionally, this will happen with an update when the Apple ID doesn't re-sync all the way for an unknown reason.

How To Fix This Issue:

Go to Notability > Settings at the bottom left > Choose iCloud from the menu on the left > turn the switch to ON, if it is OFF.

If the switch is ON already, then turn it OFF. Then go to Settings app > Apple ID (name at the top) > iCloud > and scroll down to iCloud Drive and turn the switch OFF - then count to 10 and turn that switch back ON

Then go back to Notability and turn the switch for iCloud back on again (in the settings area).

This should reconnect you to the iCloud and your notes will reappear.

Also, your Auto-Backup in Notability should have been connected to Google Drive, so all your notes would be saved in there as well.

Open Google Drive, and touch the FOLDER icon in the lower right corner. Then look for a Folder or Folders labeled Notability. You will find your notes there. You can also return to Notability and import the notes back in if necessary.
